Warranty Information

Last updated: 24 July 2026

This Warranty Information explains how manufacturer warranties apply to boilers, flues, filters, thermostats, heating controls and related products purchased from Boiler Lines through boilerlines.co.uk.

Boiler Lines is a trading name of DYS FORTEX LTD.

Boiler Lines does not provide its own commercial product warranty. Products may instead be supplied with a warranty provided directly by the relevant manufacturer.

The duration, scope, registration requirements and conditions of each warranty vary according to the product and manufacturer.

A manufacturer’s warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights. It does not replace or restrict your legal rights against Boiler Lines as the retailer.

1. About Boiler Lines

Legal company name: DYS FORTEX LTD
Trading name: Boiler Lines
Company number: 15246219
Registered office: C/O Elstree Consultants Ltd, 4 Imperial Place, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, England, WD6 1JN

2. Manufacturer Warranty

Where a product is advertised as including a warranty, that warranty is normally provided and administered by the product manufacturer.

The manufacturer determines:

  • The warranty period;

  • What parts are covered;

  • Whether labour is covered;

  • Registration deadlines;

  • Installation requirements;

  • Commissioning requirements;

  • Servicing requirements;

  • Exclusions;

  • Repair procedures;

  • Engineer attendance procedures;

  • Replacement procedures.

The warranty period shown on a product page is based on information supplied by the manufacturer and may be subject to registration and eligibility conditions.

Customers should check the complete manufacturer warranty terms before purchasing and installing a product.

3. Warranty Periods

Warranty periods vary by manufacturer, product range and model.

A product may be offered with:

  • A standard manufacturer warranty;

  • An extended manufacturer warranty;

  • A promotional warranty;

  • A parts-only warranty;

  • A parts-and-labour warranty;

  • A warranty subject to installation by an approved installer.

The warranty period displayed on Boiler Lines does not automatically guarantee that every customer will qualify for the maximum advertised term.

An extended warranty may depend on conditions including:

  • Registration within a specified period;

  • Installation by a Gas Safe registered engineer;

  • Installation by a manufacturer-approved installer;

  • Use of approved controls or filters;

  • Completion of commissioning documentation;

  • Annual servicing;

  • Compliance with water-treatment requirements;

  • Compliance with manufacturer installation instructions.

The manufacturer’s current warranty terms will determine the final coverage.

4. Warranty Registration

Many manufacturers require the product warranty to be registered after installation.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the customer and installer are responsible for ensuring that warranty registration is completed correctly and within the manufacturer’s required period.

Warranty registration may require:

  • Customer details;

  • Installation address;

  • Product model;

  • Product serial number;

  • Installation date;

  • Installer information;

  • Gas Safe registration details;

  • Commissioning information;

  • Proof of purchase;

  • Boiler Lines order information.

Customers should retain confirmation that the warranty has been successfully registered.

Boiler Lines does not guarantee that a manufacturer will accept a late, incomplete or inaccurate warranty registration.

5. Installation Requirements

Boiler Lines does not provide installation or commissioning services.

All boilers and gas appliances must be installed and commissioned by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer where required by law.

Electrical work must be completed by a suitably qualified person.

The customer is responsible for selecting and appointing the installer.

The installer is responsible for ensuring that:

  • The product is suitable for the property and heating system;

  • The installation complies with applicable regulations;

  • The manufacturer’s instructions are followed;

  • The correct flue and accessories are used;

  • The system is cleaned and treated where required;

  • Commissioning is completed correctly;

  • Relevant documentation is completed;

  • The customer receives the required records.

Incorrect or unauthorised installation may invalidate or reduce the manufacturer’s warranty.

6. Benchmark and Commissioning Documents

Where applicable, the installer should complete the Benchmark commissioning checklist or other manufacturer commissioning documentation.

Customers should retain:

  • The completed Benchmark checklist;

  • Installation certificate;

  • Commissioning records;

  • Building Regulations compliance certificate;

  • Gas Safe notification records;

  • Manufacturer warranty registration confirmation;

  • Boiler Lines invoice or proof of purchase;

  • Annual service records.

A manufacturer may request these documents before providing warranty assistance.

Failure to provide required documents may delay or affect a warranty claim.

7. Annual Servicing

Many boiler manufacturers require the boiler to be serviced at least once every 12 months by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.

The customer is responsible for:

  • Arranging annual servicing;

  • Paying servicing costs;

  • Ensuring servicing is completed on time;

  • Retaining completed service records;

  • Ensuring the service record contains the engineer’s details.

Failure to complete or document annual servicing may invalidate or reduce manufacturer warranty coverage.

Boiler Lines does not provide annual servicing unless expressly offered under a separate written agreement.

8. System Cleaning and Water Treatment

Manufacturer warranties may require the heating system to be correctly cleaned, flushed and treated.

Depending on the product and system, this may include:

  • Power flushing;

  • Chemical cleaning;

  • System flushing;

  • Inhibitor treatment;

  • Magnetic system filters;

  • Scale-reduction devices;

  • Water-quality testing;

  • Compliance with BS 7593 or other applicable standards.

Damage caused by dirty system water, sludge, scale, corrosion, debris or inadequate treatment may not be covered by the manufacturer.

The installer is responsible for assessing the system and completing any required preparation.

9. Making a Manufacturer Warranty Claim

Where a product is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, the customer should normally contact the relevant manufacturer directly.

The manufacturer’s contact details may be found:

  • In the product documentation;

  • On the manufacturer’s website;

  • On the warranty certificate;

  • On the product or appliance label.

When contacting the manufacturer, you may be asked to provide:

  • Your name;

  • Installation address;

  • Product model;

  • Product serial number;

  • Installation date;

  • Proof of purchase;

  • Warranty registration number;

  • Installer details;

  • Gas Safe registration details;

  • Benchmark or commissioning documents;

  • Annual service records;

  • Error codes;

  • Photographs or videos;

  • A description of the fault.

The manufacturer will determine how the claim is investigated and whether an engineer visit, repair, replacement part or another remedy is appropriate under its warranty terms.

10. Contacting Boiler Lines

Although manufacturer warranty claims are normally handled directly between the customer and manufacturer, you may contact Boiler Lines if:

  • You cannot identify the correct manufacturer contact;

  • You require a copy of your invoice;

  • You require order information;

  • You received the wrong product;

  • The product arrived damaged;

  • You believe the product was faulty when supplied;

  • The manufacturer has advised you to contact the retailer;

  • You wish to exercise your statutory consumer rights.

Contact:

Email: info@boilerlines.co.uk

Please include:

  • Your full name;

  • Order number;

  • Delivery address;

  • Product model;

  • Serial number;

  • Details of the issue;

  • Relevant photographs or documents.

11. Your Statutory Rights

Manufacturer warranties are separate from your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Products supplied by Boiler Lines must be:

  • Of satisfactory quality;

  • Fit for their intended purpose;

  • As described.

Your contract for the purchase of the goods is with Boiler Lines.

You are not required to rely only on the manufacturer’s warranty where the goods do not meet the standards required by consumer law.

Depending on the circumstances and when the problem is reported, your statutory remedy may include:

  • Rejection and refund;

  • Repair;

  • Replacement;

  • Price reduction;

  • Partial refund;

  • Final rejection.

Nothing in this Warranty Information excludes or limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Faults Reported Within 30 Days

If a product is faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, a consumer may have a statutory right to reject it within 30 days of delivery.

Where this right applies, the customer may be entitled to a refund.

A manufacturer warranty procedure does not remove this statutory right.

Customers wishing to exercise statutory rights against Boiler Lines should contact:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

Boiler Lines may request reasonable evidence or arrange an inspection to confirm the nature and cause of the reported fault.

13. Faults Reported After 30 Days

After the first 30 days, customers may normally be required to allow an opportunity for repair or replacement before becoming entitled to a price reduction or final refund.

A repair may be completed:

  • By the manufacturer;

  • By a manufacturer-authorised engineer;

  • Through another appropriate arrangement approved by Boiler Lines.

The available remedy will depend on:

  • The nature of the fault;

  • The age of the product;

  • Whether the product was installed correctly;

  • Whether repair is possible;

  • Whether replacement is proportionate;

  • Applicable consumer law;

  • Manufacturer warranty terms.

14. What Manufacturer Warranties May Cover

Depending on the manufacturer and product, warranty coverage may include:

  • Manufacturing defects;

  • Internal component faults;

  • Replacement parts;

  • Engineer labour;

  • Manufacturer-authorised repairs;

  • Replacement of certain components;

  • In limited cases, replacement of the product.

The manufacturer’s specific terms determine the actual coverage.

Boiler Lines does not guarantee that every repair, engineer visit, replacement part or labour charge will be covered.

15. Common Warranty Exclusions

Manufacturer warranties commonly exclude problems caused by:

  • Incorrect installation;

  • Incorrect commissioning;

  • Installation by an unqualified person;

  • Failure to register the warranty;

  • Failure to complete annual servicing;

  • Missing service records;

  • Failure to follow manufacturer instructions;

  • Incorrect product selection;

  • Incompatible system components;

  • Incorrect flue installation;

  • Existing pipework or wiring;

  • System sludge or contamination;

  • Scale or poor water quality;

  • Corrosion;

  • Inadequate system pressure;

  • Frozen condensate pipes;

  • Blocked or damaged external components;

  • Accidental damage;

  • Misuse or neglect;

  • Unauthorised repairs;

  • Unapproved modifications;

  • Normal wear and tear;

  • Consumable parts;

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect operation;

  • Damage caused during installation;

  • External controls or accessories;

  • Utility supply interruptions;

  • Flood, fire or other external events.

The exact exclusions are determined by the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

An exclusion under a manufacturer warranty does not automatically determine whether the customer has a valid statutory claim against Boiler Lines.

16. Installation and Compatibility Problems

A product is not necessarily faulty merely because it does not operate correctly after installation.

The issue may relate to:

  • Incorrect installation;

  • Incorrect commissioning;

  • Incorrect boiler sizing;

  • Incorrect product selection;

  • System incompatibility;

  • Existing pipework;

  • Existing electrical wiring;

  • External controls;

  • Incorrect flue configuration;

  • Poor system water quality;

  • Insufficient system pressure;

  • System contamination;

  • Another external cause.

The manufacturer or Boiler Lines may request an engineer’s report to identify the cause.

If the product is found not to be faulty, the manufacturer may charge for engineer attendance or other work under its own terms.

17. Engineer Call-Out Charges

Manufacturer engineer visits may be chargeable where:

  • The product is outside warranty;

  • The warranty was not registered;

  • Required service records are unavailable;

  • No product fault is found;

  • The problem is caused by installation;

  • The problem is caused by another part of the system;

  • The issue falls within a warranty exclusion;

  • Access cannot be obtained;

  • An appointment is missed;

  • Incorrect information was provided.

Any manufacturer call-out charge is determined by the manufacturer.

Customers should confirm potential charges before accepting an engineer appointment.

18. Replacement Products

A manufacturer warranty does not automatically entitle the customer to a complete replacement product.

The manufacturer may choose to:

  • Inspect the product;

  • Repair the product;

  • Replace a faulty component;

  • Replace the product where appropriate;

  • Reject the warranty claim where an exclusion applies.

Any statutory right to repair, replacement or refund against Boiler Lines remains separate from the manufacturer’s commercial warranty process.

19. Replacement Parts

Replacement parts supplied under a manufacturer warranty may:

  • Be new;

  • Be refurbished;

  • Carry the remainder of the original warranty;

  • Have a separate limited warranty.

The applicable terms are determined by the manufacturer.

The customer should confirm part and labour coverage directly with the manufacturer.

20. Warranty Transfers

Whether a manufacturer warranty transfers to a new property owner depends on the manufacturer’s terms.

Some warranties may:

  • Remain with the installed appliance;

  • Require notification of a change of ownership;

  • Require re-registration;

  • Be limited to the original purchaser;

  • Be limited to the original installation address.

Boiler Lines does not guarantee that a manufacturer warranty can be transferred.

21. Moving a Product

Removing and reinstalling a boiler or heating product may affect the manufacturer warranty.

Before moving a product, customers should:

  • Contact the manufacturer;

  • Review the warranty terms;

  • Use a suitably qualified installer;

  • Retain all removal and reinstallation records;

  • Complete any required re-registration.

Damage caused during removal, transportation or reinstallation may not be covered.

22. Product Serial Numbers

Customers should not remove, alter, cover or damage:

  • Product serial numbers;

  • Data plates;

  • Identification labels;

  • Manufacturer labels;

  • Warranty seals.

Manufacturers may refuse a warranty claim where a product cannot be properly identified.

You should record the serial number after installation and retain it with your purchase and commissioning documents.

23. Proof of Purchase

Customers should retain the Boiler Lines order confirmation or invoice as proof of purchase.

Where required, Boiler Lines may provide a replacement copy of an invoice using the order records available to us.

Contact:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

Please provide your name, delivery address and order number where available.

24. Promotional and Extended Warranties

Some manufacturers may offer promotional or extended warranty periods.

These offers may:

  • Be available only during a limited period;

  • Apply only to selected models;

  • Require installation by an approved installer;

  • Require online registration;

  • Require approved controls or accessories;

  • Require annual servicing;

  • Change or end without notice.

Eligibility is determined by the manufacturer’s promotion terms.

Boiler Lines is not responsible where a customer does not qualify because the manufacturer’s conditions were not met.

However, Boiler Lines will take reasonable care to ensure warranty information displayed on the website is accurate at the time of publication.

25. Errors in Warranty Information

We take reasonable care to present accurate warranty information.

However, manufacturer terms, promotions and eligibility requirements may change.

Where there is a difference between:

  • A general warranty statement on Boiler Lines;

  • A product-page warranty statement;

  • The manufacturer’s current official warranty terms,

the manufacturer’s current terms will normally govern the commercial manufacturer warranty.

This does not affect any statutory rights against Boiler Lines.

If you believe warranty information on our website is incorrect, contact:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

26. Business and Trade Customers

Statutory consumer rights may not apply in the same way to:

  • Limited companies;

  • Partnerships;

  • Sole traders purchasing mainly for business use;

  • Landlords purchasing as part of commercial activity;

  • Heating engineers;

  • Installers;

  • Property developers;

  • Trade account customers.

Manufacturer warranty terms may also differ for commercial installations or business purchasers.

Business and trade customers should review the manufacturer’s commercial warranty conditions before purchase.

27. Changes to Warranty Information

We may update this Warranty Information to reflect:

  • Manufacturer warranty changes;

  • New product ranges;

  • Changes to registration requirements;

  • Changes to our sales processes;

  • Changes to applicable law.

The latest version will be published on boilerlines.co.uk and the “Last updated” date will be amended.
