Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 24 July 2026

DYS FORTEX LTD, trading as Boiler Lines, is committed to making boilerlines.co.uk accessible and usable for as many people as reasonably possible, including people with disabilities.

We want customers to be able to browse products, access information, create an account, use the shopping basket, complete checkout and contact customer support without unnecessary accessibility barriers.

This statement explains our accessibility approach, the standards we aim to follow, known limitations and how you can request assistance.

1. About Boiler Lines

Legal company name: DYS FORTEX LTD
Trading name: Boiler Lines
Company number: 15246219
Registered office: C/O Elstree Consultants Ltd, 4 Imperial Place, Maxwell Road, Borehamwood, England, WD6 1JN
Website: boilerlines.co.uk
Email: info@boilerlines.co.uk

In this Accessibility Statement, “Boiler Lines”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to DYS FORTEX LTD.

2. Our Accessibility Commitment

We aim to provide a website that can be used by people with a wide range of access needs, including people who:

  • Are blind or have low vision;

  • Are deaf or have hearing loss;

  • Have limited mobility or dexterity;

  • Use a keyboard instead of a mouse;

  • Use screen-reading or voice-control technology;

  • Have cognitive or learning disabilities;

  • Experience photosensitivity;

  • Require increased text size or contrast;

  • Use mobile devices or alternative input methods.

We are working towards aligning the website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA, where reasonably practicable.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We review and improve the website as its design, products, applications and content change.

3. Accessibility Standard

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, commonly known as WCAG, provide recommendations for making web content more accessible.

Our accessibility work is guided by the following principles:

  • Information should be perceivable;

  • Website functions should be operable;

  • Content and navigation should be understandable;

  • The website should be sufficiently robust to work with a range of browsers and assistive technologies.

Our goal is to work towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA rather than claim full conformance before the website has been comprehensively tested.

4. Current Conformance Status

Boiler Lines is a developing ecommerce website built using Shopify and third-party applications.

At the date of this statement, the website has not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit.

We therefore do not currently claim that every page, component or third-party feature fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

We aim to identify and correct accessibility barriers as part of the website’s continued development.

Some content may be fully accessible, while other content or third-party functionality may only be partially accessible.

5. Measures We Aim to Take

We aim, where reasonably practicable, to provide:

  • Clear and consistent navigation;

  • Descriptive page titles and headings;

  • Logical heading structures;

  • Meaningful link and button labels;

  • Alternative text for informative images;

  • Sufficient colour contrast;

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls;

  • Visible keyboard-focus indicators;

  • Forms with clear labels and instructions;

  • Understandable validation and error messages;

  • Text that can be enlarged without significant loss of functionality;

  • Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile devices;

  • Product information presented in readable formats;

  • Controls that do not rely only on colour;

  • Appropriate language attributes and page structure;

  • Clear instructions for checkout and payment;

  • Accessible methods of contacting customer support.

We will also seek to avoid:

  • Unnecessary flashing or rapidly moving content;

  • Links that use unclear wording such as “click here” without context;

  • Important information presented only as an image;

  • Controls that can only be operated with a mouse;

  • Automatically playing audio;

  • Unnecessarily complex language;

  • Time limits without an appropriate reason or extension option.

6. Keyboard Navigation

We aim to make the main website functions usable with a keyboard.

Users should, where supported by the relevant page or application, be able to:

  • Move through interactive elements using the Tab key;

  • Move backwards using Shift and Tab;

  • Activate buttons and links using Enter or Space;

  • See which element currently has keyboard focus;

  • Access navigation menus;

  • Use shopping-basket controls;

  • Complete forms and checkout steps;

  • Close accessible pop-ups and dialogs.

Some third-party applications or embedded content may not provide complete keyboard support.

Please contact us if you encounter a keyboard trap, hidden focus indicator or control that cannot be operated without a mouse.

7. Screen Readers and Assistive Technology

We aim to use clear page structures, headings, labels and alternative text to support screen readers and other assistive technologies.

The website may be used with a range of devices, operating systems, browsers and assistive technologies.

However, we cannot guarantee identical performance with every combination.

Accessibility may be affected by:

  • Browser version;

  • Operating-system settings;

  • Screen-reader configuration;

  • Shopify updates;

  • Theme updates;

  • Third-party applications;

  • Payment-provider interfaces;

  • Customer browser extensions.

We recommend using current versions of browsers and assistive technologies where possible.

8. Text Size and Zoom

Most modern browsers allow users to enlarge text or zoom the entire page.

We aim for important website content and controls to remain readable and usable when the page is enlarged.

Depending on your browser, you may be able to zoom using:

  • Ctrl and + on Windows;

  • Ctrl and - on Windows;

  • Command and + on macOS;

  • Command and - on macOS;

  • Browser zoom settings;

  • Device accessibility settings.

Some third-party widgets may not respond to zoom settings in the same way as the main website.

9. Colour and Contrast

We aim to use text and interface colours with sufficient contrast against their backgrounds.

We also aim not to use colour as the only method of communicating important information.

Examples include:

  • Form errors should include text as well as colour;

  • Product availability should not be communicated only by colour;

  • Selected controls should have a visible state beyond colour alone;

  • Links should be distinguishable from surrounding text.

If you find text, buttons or controls difficult to see, please report the affected page to us.

10. Images and Product Information

We aim to provide alternative text for images that communicate meaningful information.

Decorative images may use empty alternative text so that screen readers can ignore them.

Product images are intended to support the written product information. Customers should not be required to rely solely on an image to understand essential product details.

Important details such as the following should be provided in text where available:

  • Product name;

  • Boiler type;

  • Fuel type;

  • Output;

  • Dimensions;

  • Included accessories;

  • Warranty information;

  • Compatibility information;

  • Delivery information.

Some manufacturer-supplied images, diagrams or documents may not yet include complete accessible descriptions.

Contact us if you need information from an image, technical document or diagram in another format.

11. Forms and Checkout

We aim for forms to include:

  • Clear field labels;

  • Instructions where necessary;

  • Identification of required fields;

  • Understandable error messages;

  • Opportunities to review and correct information;

  • Logical keyboard navigation;

  • Appropriate autocomplete support where available.

Our checkout is provided through Shopify and may include functionality supplied by Shopify Payments, Klarna or other payment services.

The accessibility of parts of the checkout or payment process may therefore depend on third-party systems that Boiler Lines does not fully control.

If you cannot complete an order because of an accessibility issue, contact:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

We will provide reasonable assistance where possible. Do not send complete card information or card security codes by email or live chat.

12. Customer Accounts

Customers may create and access accounts through our Shopify-powered website.

Account functions may include:

  • Secure login;

  • Viewing order history;

  • Managing contact information;

  • Reviewing account details;

  • Accessing order information.

If you have difficulty creating an account, signing in or accessing account information, contact us for assistance.

We may need to confirm your identity before discussing account or order information.

13. Live Chat and Chatbot

Boiler Lines may provide live-chat and chatbot services.

These services may be supplied through third-party applications and may not always provide the same level of accessibility as the main website.

Potential limitations may include:

  • Keyboard navigation;

  • Screen-reader announcements;

  • Focus management;

  • Colour contrast;

  • Conversation history;

  • Captcha or identity-verification features.

Live chat and chatbot services are not the only ways to contact Boiler Lines.

If you cannot use them, contact us by email at:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

14. Cookie Banner and Cookie Preferences

We use the Cookies & You consent-management application to display and manage cookie choices.

We aim for the cookie banner and preference panel to be:

  • Keyboard accessible;

  • Understandable;

  • Compatible with common screen readers;

  • Clear about optional cookie categories;

  • Easy to accept or reject;

  • Available again after an initial choice has been made.

If you cannot access or operate the cookie-preference panel, contact us at:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

We can provide information about our cookies and assist with changing preferences where reasonably possible.

15. Third-Party Services

Some website functions are provided by third parties, including services associated with:

  • Shopify;

  • Shopify Payments;

  • Klarna;

  • Cookies & You;

  • Google;

  • Meta;

  • Microsoft;

  • Klaviyo;

  • Live-chat and chatbot providers;

  • Other Shopify applications.

We do not have complete control over the design, source code or accessibility of third-party services.

We will seek to select and configure third-party services with accessibility in mind where reasonably practicable.

However, some third-party interfaces may contain accessibility barriers.

Where possible, we will provide an alternative way to access essential information or request support.

16. PDF Files and Downloadable Documents

The website may contain:

  • Manufacturer brochures;

  • Product manuals;

  • Technical specifications;

  • Warranty documents;

  • Installation guides;

  • Other PDF files.

Some documents may be produced by manufacturers or suppliers and may not be fully accessible to screen readers.

They may contain:

  • Scanned text;

  • Complex tables;

  • Unlabelled diagrams;

  • Missing heading structures;

  • Images without alternative descriptions;

  • Reading-order issues.

If you need information from a document in a more accessible format, contact:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

Please identify the document and explain the format or information you require.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information in an alternative form.

17. Videos and Multimedia

If Boiler Lines adds videos or multimedia content, we will aim to provide appropriate accessibility features where reasonably practicable.

These may include:

  • Captions;

  • Transcripts;

  • Audio descriptions where important visual information is not otherwise explained;

  • Controls that can be used with a keyboard;

  • The ability to pause or stop content;

  • Avoidance of autoplay with sound.

Older or third-party video content may not contain all these features.

Contact us if you require information from a video in another format.

18. Known and Potential Limitations

As the website continues to be developed, possible accessibility limitations may include:

  • Some manufacturer images without sufficiently descriptive alternative text;

  • Some PDF documents that are not fully accessible;

  • Third-party applications with incomplete keyboard support;

  • Payment interfaces controlled by external providers;

  • Live-chat or chatbot features with assistive-technology limitations;

  • Product filters or menus that may not work consistently with every screen reader;

  • Focus-management issues in some pop-ups or drawers;

  • Colour-contrast issues in third-party components;

  • Error messages that may not always be announced correctly;

  • Older product content that has not yet been fully reviewed;

  • Embedded external content that does not meet our preferred accessibility standard.

This list may change as we test the website and receive user feedback.

19. What We Are Doing to Improve

Our ongoing accessibility work may include:

  • Reviewing navigation and heading structures;

  • Checking keyboard navigation;

  • Improving focus indicators;

  • Adding or improving image alternative text;

  • Reviewing colour contrast;

  • Improving form labels and error messages;

  • Testing desktop and mobile layouts;

  • Reviewing new applications before installation;

  • Checking new product and marketing content;

  • Reviewing accessibility after theme or Shopify updates;

  • Correcting reported accessibility barriers;

  • Considering accessibility when selecting new technology providers.

Accessibility issues will be prioritised according to their impact, frequency and the importance of the affected service.

Barriers preventing customers from placing orders, accessing account information or contacting support will normally receive higher priority.

20. Requesting Information in an Alternative Format

You may request information in another reasonably accessible format.

Depending on the information and your needs, this may include:

  • Plain-text email;

  • Large text;

  • Simplified written explanation;

  • Accessible digital document;

  • Written description of an image or diagram;

  • Assistance understanding product information;

  • Assistance accessing an order or policy.

Contact:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

Please tell us:

  • Which page, document or information you require;

  • The accessibility problem you experienced;

  • The format that would be most useful;

  • Any relevant deadline.

We will consider the request and provide a reasonable response where practicable.

21. Reporting an Accessibility Problem

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of boilerlines.co.uk.

  • The assistive technology used, if any;

  • What you were trying to do;

  • Any screenshot or error message;

  • Your preferred way for us to respond.

You do not need to disclose a disability or medical condition to report an accessibility problem.

22. How We Handle Accessibility Feedback

We aim to:

  • Acknowledge accessibility feedback within three working days;

  • Review the reported issue;

  • Request further information only where necessary;

  • Explain whether an immediate alternative is available;

  • Correct significant barriers as soon as reasonably practicable;

  • Provide an update where a technical fix requires more time.

The time required to correct a problem may depend on:

  • Its severity;

  • Technical complexity;

  • Whether it affects a third-party service;

  • Whether a Shopify theme or application update is required;

  • Whether an alternative solution is available;

  • The number of pages or components affected.

23. Reasonable Adjustments and Assistance

Where a customer experiences an accessibility barrier, Boiler Lines will consider reasonable adjustments and alternative methods of providing the relevant service.

Possible adjustments may include:

  • Providing information by email;

  • Assisting with product information;

  • Providing an alternative way to submit a request;

  • Helping a customer access an order record;

  • Communicating through an authorised representative;

  • Allowing additional time to provide information;

  • Providing documents in another reasonably available format.

The appropriate adjustment will depend on the circumstances and the service requested.

24. Formal Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with how we handled an accessibility issue, you may submit a formal complaint under our Complaints Procedure.

Email:

info@boilerlines.co.uk

Use the subject line:

Formal Accessibility Complaint

Please explain:

  • What happened;

  • When it happened;

  • The page or service involved;

  • Any previous communication with us;

  • The outcome you are requesting.

Making an accessibility complaint does not affect any statutory rights.
